For everyone having a black or blue window instead of correct video playback with a dual screen clone configuration: Its the fuckin xv overlay! I've been searching for the issue in forums but didn't find any answer, so I post it here, it may save someone from wasteing time : Set the xv overlay manually with xvattr. In my case (Thinkpad T40, Debian Etch) 'xvattr -a XV_CRTC -v 1

MX12 Remote Control died :-(

Ok I feel communicative, here what happened last weekend. I have a RC helicopter, SJM400. Now the brother of my girlfriend came and I proudly wanted to demonstrate my flying skills on the simulator. So I started smartpropoplus (audio interface which converts the PPM signals to a virtual 'joystick interface', plugged in the the audio cable into the JR MX12 remote control and *PLOUF*, remote dead. No clue what happened. Well done! Gonna get a DX7.

Howto defeat the Sunday Cigi

Ok. Every sunday the same story: I'M NOT SMOKING. Hey I do it so here is the recipe: Take a big glass, put an icecube in it, fill it with Tomato Juice and add a LOT of Tabasco!!! Yeah this is fantastic combined with the nicotine withdrawal effects, even better than the cigi flash mondays.

I had a hilarious evening in Battlefield 2 a couple of days ago:!
